Distribution
Once your release is written (never make them longer than one
page) choose one or two free press release distribution sites. (See those
listed at the beginning of this section.)
Select sites that will add your release to the news engines. There
are big distribution sites who charge a hefty fee, but the good news is
that free sites work just as well.
After your release has been distributed online, be sure and post it
on your blog. In fact, you might want to create a Press Release
Archives, so visitors can see what you’ve been up to in the past.

Local News Releases
If your release is about something of local interest, as in the
example of sponsoring a charity event, send it to your local newspaper.
Or perhaps your community has a “neighborhood” newspaper that is
always on the lookout for newsworthy items (most are). Become friends
with the staff there and let them know what you’re all about. They will
soon be looking for items of interest coming from you and your
business.
You won’t be churning out press releases in the same way that
you will with articles. However, if you think outside the box and get
creative, you’ll find a wide variety of reasons to create a press release.
And when you do, you are once again increasing exposure! And every
time you increase exposure, you discover new ways to capture leads.
