Quick rice recipe for either a quick lunch or can be served as a side dish, basmati rice is
my personal favorite rice by the way, prep time takes about 20 minutes and cooking
time about another 20 minutes for a total of 40 minutes of your time, yielding you
about 4 servings.


Ingredients:


1 3/4 cups water
1 cup basmati rice
1/4 cup frozen green peas
1 teaspoon cumin seeds


How to prepare:


 In a saucepan bring water to a boil.
 Add rice and stir.
 Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
 When rice is cooked, stir in peas and cumin.
 Cover and let stand for 5 minutes.
