carbohydrates grown from their farms and the peasants were healthier than the nobility.
So I hope you have taken notes or printed this e-book and highlighted the key points.

Over 300 years ago, an Englishman discovered sugar in the urine of diabetics and
concluded that sugar causes diabetes. It’s far from the real truth. It is true that glucose
tolerance is important to understanding the disease which is the ability to digest sugars
or glucose. However, if we cut out the fat of the diabetic, he quickly regains the ability
for the insulin to work. Over 90% of the diabetics have 3 or 4 times as much insulin as
they require. It has been rendered inactive, unable to function due to the fat that is
absorbed and caused those cells not to function (insulin). If we want glucose tolerance
to increase, we must exercise on a daily basis and after 3 or 4 days, its’ good effect will
already begin to kick in. What are we saying then? The University of Kentucky has
proven in a study that if you cut the fat intake to no more than 10% of your daily
calories, your diabetes simply goes away! Diabetes is not too hard to cure; you can be
cured, even if you have to take insulin within 3 to 5 weeks by removing the fat from your
diet. There are over 10 million diabetics in the US and over half of them are not
diagnosed. According to the International Diabetes Federation there are 371 million
people that have diabetes globally and about half are undiagnosed. Already, $471
billion was spent treating the disease in 2012, up $6 billion from last year. In the U.S.
alone, $174 billion was spent in 2007 to combat diabetes, according to the American
Diabetes Association. I know many different more productive ways to spend $471 billion
dollars than helping to find a cure for diabetes. The cure is so simple, that a child can
understand!

Seventy percent of these people are obese and heart disease occurs 3 times as often in
diabetics! Do you want me to scare you some more? Eighty percent of the amputations
due to gangrene are directly linked to diabetes. Gangrene is the result of severely
impaired blood flow to parts of the body. In some cases, the affected part of the body
must be surgically removed to prevent further medical problems. Amputation is a last-
resort treatment for gangrene, but it can be life-saving. Most amputations are
performed on the toe, foot, arm or leg. Seventy percent of new blindness cases come
from diabetics. Over ninety percent of diabetics have 3 or 4 times the amount of insulin
that they need. As fat enters the bloodstream, the platelets become sensitive and
insensitive and they can’t burn simple sugars. Does that mean we have to remove
carbohydrates? No, but conventional wisdom says yes. If you exercise and continue to
