toes, feet etc... If you plan on losing weight, make sure you are losing 1-2 pounds a week
and not more avoiding increasing your uric acid levels abruptly causing a painful gout
attack. So tread carefully and do it right!

If you don’t have gout make sure to maintain a healthy weight in order to avoid getting it.
Weight loss is not the only answer when it comes to curing your gout but it is a big piece
in the overall pie, that’s for sure. Remember to begin with small changes in the beginning
making sure you are losing only 1-2 pounds a week in order to avoid a gout attack, then
keep progressing in eliminating whatever foods that are bad for you for healthier choices
eventually moving towards your ideal weight. Don’t forget to include your doctor’s advice
when planning your diet, even consulting with a dietitian can do wonders.

By following the Gout Diet Plan from this e-book as well as my recommendation to
exercise, you will drop the pounds in a natural and healthy way avoiding a painful gout
attack. Weight loss cannot be done quickly or extremely when you have gout cause you
will pay the price by suffering an attack, so eat right as outlined in my e-book and you’ll
drop the weight in no time. Remember for exercise, if you don’t want to do anything
more strenuous you can simply walk 3 miles a day and it’ll do the trick.

Now let’s talk a little about alcohol. When it comes to gout, you need to totally avoid it
if I were you, or limit it to an ounce or 2 of hard liquor once in a while, 1-2 beers max or
1-2 glasses of wine on occasions like a wedding, party, BBQ and so on. If you do drink
make sure to drink lots and I mean lots of water that day. For more information on Gout
and Alcohol, please read my post.

Yes, studies have proven that a very moderate intake of alcohol mostly red wine can cut
your risk of heart disease but they kill another way. Fifty percent of fatal car accidents
are caused by alcohol. A couple drinks of 2 ounces of whisky a day decrease the heart’s
workload capacity by 20%. It's no secret that alcohol consumption can cause major
health problems, including cirrhosis of the liver and injuries sustained in automobile
accidents. But if you think liver disease and car crashes are the only health risks posed
by drinking, think again: researchers have linked alcohol consumption to more than 60
diseases.
