Fire Water
This is a great way to start a meal. Fire Water was served at The Raw Experience as a palate cleanser and digestive stimulant. It was a great
opener to a meal at the restaurant and provided a new spin on stepping up to the bar and throwing down a shot.
SERVES 8 TO 16
2 quarts filtered water
3 chiles (such as habanero, jalapeño, or serrano, or a combination for added flavor), thinly sliced lengthwise
1 lemon, coarsely chopped
Juice of 1 orange
2 teaspoons beet powder
Place all of the ingredients in a glass jar with a lid. Cover, shake well, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight. Pour into shot glasses, being
careful to leave the chiles in the jar, and serve.
