Installing Adobe
Lightroom
Adobe Photoshop is the most pirated piece of commercial software
in history, so to combat this Adobe introduced Creative Cloud.
Before you can start using Lightroom to organise and improve your
digital photos, you need to sign up for a monthly subscription.
1 To obtain Lightroom via Creative Cloud, open your web
browser and go to https://www.Adobe.com/uk/products/
photoshop-Lightroom.html. You should find yourself on the page
shown above. If you want to buy the software, then click on the
‘Choose A Plan’ button but if you’d like to try it before you buy
you can opt for the free trial version.
3 Once your payment has been processed you should see the
confirmation screen above. You also receive a confirmation
email at your registered email address. You’re also prompted to
sign up for an Adobe account as part of your sign-in process. To
get started with your download, click the ‘Get started’ button, or
use the link in the email.
2 There are two ways to pay for your subscription; you can
use a credit or debit card or your PayPal account if you
have one. Enter your card details, company name and VAT
number if you’re using the software for business, and click the
‘Place secure order’ button. Alternatively choose PayPal and
enter your password when prompted.
4 There’s one more thing you need to do before you can
begin your download. On the next screen there is a simple
drop-down menu to select your skill level with the Creative Cloud
software. If you’ve used Creative Cloud before you can choose
Experienced but if this is your first time you should choose
Beginner. Choose one and then click Continue.
