Explore these beautiful forests and gardens after hours,
and enjoy a spectacular display. By Emily Sargent
of light, vast trees strung with giant
baubles and crazy neon colours, and
a “fire garden” installation with torches
and dancing flames. The trail leads past
a lake to the deepest part of the forest,
where you’ll find a Christmas cathedral
adorned with thousands of glowing
bulbs. Hot food and drinks will be
available along the way, including
hot chocolate, toasted
marshmallows and waffles.

Follow a trail of lights around the
castle’s sprawling gardens, through
the trees and beside the lake, and see
Hever Castle itself brilliantly illuminated.
This year the light trail will include new
areas of the grounds not previously litbefore, including Anne Boleyn’s Walk.
The theme of this year’s trail is
Pinocchio, beginning in Geppetto’s
workshop, surrounded by wood-carving
creations. There is a fairground with
games and rides on the lawn in front of
the castle, and the Moat restaurant will
be serving hot chocolate, mulled wine
and a range of hot food.
