“The EU was suffering a shortage of Covid
vaccinations, which was angering the likes of
Emmanuel Macron, the French president, and
Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the
European Commission. I enjoy drawing the
Bayeux Tapestry and it worked well in this
instance. Obviously it was one in the eye for
the likes of Macron and von der Leyen, such
was the success of the UK’s vaccine rollout.”
08.01 What he wants... what he deserves
“This was the first thing I thought of in the wake
of the Capitol Hill attack, which Trump had
incited. He’d been rallying his supporters and the
outcome was the abhorrent riots. To me it was
very apparent what he wanted... and by contrast
what he absolutely deserved.”
