27.03 Raking
in the profits
“I love drawing
David Cameron as
much as I love laying
into him. He was
being investigated
after it was claimed
he directly lobbied
the chancellor to
secure multimillion-
pound Covid loans
for Greensill, a
finance firm Cameron
was advising. At the
same time there was
a row over children
at a school in West
Yorkshire being
shown a cartoon
of the Prophet
Muhammad, taken
from the French
satirical magazine
Charlie Hebdo.”

13.03 Hypocrisy cuts both ways!
“It was eight months until the Cop26 climate conference in Glasgow
and the government was vacillating over what to do about plans for
the UK’s first deep coalmine in 30 years, near Whitehaven in Cumbria.
With the summit on the horizon, it was a bad look to be championing
coal. Johnson, needless to say, was a dithering mess on the topic.”
