while Garfield’s pair of movies are probably
the easiest to dismiss, it’s his appearance
here that’s the most potent. Not because
he’s at home as Spider-Man but because he
isn’t. Now seven years older and doing some
of the best work of his life, a more mature
Garfield exudes something that doesn’t
enter into this ever-recycling, short-term-
memory franchise — that there is life after
Spider-Man.


“Spider-Man: No Way Home,” a Columbia
Pictures release, is rated PG-13 by the
Motion Picture Association of America
for sequences of action/violence, some
language and brief suggestive comments.
Running time: 150 minutes. Two and a half
stars out of four.
