COMPLIANCE
7 In GENERAL
7.1 THICKNESS shall be measured to the nearest 0.001" (0.025 mm) using a dial thickness gage or conventional
micrometer.7.1.1 Sufficient pressure shall be applied to ensure that the anvils of the instruments are in firm and square contact
with, but do not compress, the panel surface.7.1.2 One measurement shall be taken at the mid-width of one end of the panel.7.1.2.1 This measurement shall represent the panel thickness, unless the measurement is below the
minimum or above the maximum requirements.7.1.2.2 If the measurement is below or above the applicable requirements, three additional measurements
shall be taken; one at the approximate mid-width on the opposite end and one at the approximate
mid-length on each side of the panel, and the average of the four measurements shall be taken as
the thickness of that panel.7.2 SQUARENESS shall be determined by measuring the length of the diagonals of the panel.7.3 STRAIGHTNESS shall be determined by using a straight line along the edge from one corner to the other.4
