At HPDL and PVC, edges shall be machined flush and filed (continued)
4.4.1.13.3 REMOVAL of color or pattern of face material due to over-machining limited to:

4.4.1.13.3.1 3/32" x 4" (2.4 mm x 102 mm) and may not occur within 48" (1220 mm) of a similar occurrence. M

4.4.1.13.3.2 1/16" x 1-1/2" (1.6 mm x 38.1 mm) and may not occur within 60" (1524 mm) of a similar occurrence. M

4.4.1.13.3.3 1/16" x 4" (1.6 mm x 102 mm) and may not occur within 72" (1829 mm) of a similar occurrence. M

4.4.2 APPLIED MOLDINGS shall be spot-glued and mechanically fastened.
4.4.3 MITER JOINTS and CAPS shall be well-fitted and cleaned.
4.4.4 STILE and RAIL ASSEMBLIES shall be built up in units as large as practical.
4.4.5 STILE and RAIL MEMBERS shall be mortised and tenoned, doweled, or splined. MM

4.4.6 SHEET PRODUCTS shall be allowed to move, float, expand, or contract in reaction to ambient humidity
changes.

4.4.7 BUILT-UP^ ITEMS shall be soundly fabricated with half-lapped, mitered, shoulder-mitered, tonged, or equivalent
construction.
4.4.8 STANDING & RUNNING TRIM shall require:
4.4.8.1 RADIUS MOLDINGS to be glued up for length in the longest practical lengths. MM

4.4.8.2 EXTERIORspecified. trim to be furnished as material only; items required to be assembled shall be so

DOOR FRAMES:


4.4.9.1 FIRE RATEDrequirements of their applicable labeling service. shall be of the manufacturer's standard design and construction, conforming to the

shall have mitered joints.

For EXTERIOR OPAQUE finished applications, shall have sill and jamb dadoes

4.4.9.9.1 Jambs shall be furnished assembled. M
