Canoo’s first EV will go into production in late 2022 and promises the
interior space of a big SUV with the footprint of a compact hatchback. Which is
why Canoo calls it a “loft on wheels”.
Canoo’s cabin forward, flat chassis design uses steer-by-wire instead of a
traditional steering column, so there’s more room for people – or for products.
The Lifestyle Vehicle comes in four versions: the two-seat, $35K Delivery, the
five-seat Base, and seven-seater Premium and Adventure models. All models
will have huge side windows and a panoramic glass roof and a 300hp motor
with a range of up to 250 miles. Meanwhile, pickup and delivery truck variants
go on sale in 2023.
