Subversive Cross Stitch is a craft enterprise started in 2003 by Julie
Jackson. She creates simple start kits for cross stitching that contains the thread
and material needed for the provided patterns. It is an easy way into craft as
cross stitch works on a grid in the fabric, making it easy to transfer patterns.
Something in between pixel art and connect-the-dots. Her kits has raised a lot
of attention from media and are sold at chains like Urban Outfitters.
