Addingfiles to Cyberduckis incrediblyeasy. When you’re
ready to uploadsomefiles,you can clickFile, Upload^1 or
use the dedicated Uploadbutton.^2 However, an even
easiermethodis simplyto openthe folder you want to add the
files to, thendrag and drop themdirectlyfrom File Explorer.

Downloadingfiles is just as easy. Right-clickthe file and
selecteitherDownload,DownloadAs or DownloadTo^1
from the context menu.Alternatively, double-clickthe file
to openthe Transfers window,^2 where you can manageyour
download.^3 Double-clickinga downloadedfile lets you edit it:
selectoverwrite, resume, renameand so on from the menu.^4

Oneof Cyberduck’s best features is its abilityto move files
directlyfrom one cloudstorage platformto another. When
connected to GoogleDrive, for example, clickFile, New
Browser.^1 Follow Steps 2 and 3 to signinto anothercloud
storage service, thensimplydrag and drop files between the
two. Progress is displayed in the Transfers window.^2

Anotherexcellentfeature is the Encrypted Vault. To
activate it, find a folder you want to install the vault in,
thenright-clickand chooseNew Encrypted Vault.^1
Nameyour vault,^2 thenchooseand confirma passphrase^3
and clickCreate.^4 When first logginginto your vault, untick
Save Password or your passphrase will be redundant.

No matter whichtypeof connectionyou make, when
you’ve finishedmanagingyour files,it’s important
that you disconnectfrom the server or cloudstorage.
To do this and save your changes,clickDisconnect.^1 Folders
and files are thengreyed out one by one.^2 When it has
finished,you can safely closeyour Cyberduckwindow.

ClickingEdit, Preferences,^1 lets you access a host of
options,so we recommendexploringthem.In the
Browser tab,^2 for example, ‘Show hiddenfiles’is
unticked by default but is well worth ticking.Editor^3 lets you
choosea default text editor. Finally, clickTransfers,^4 thenthe
General tab^5 to redirect downloadsto a specificlocation.
