premium Plaid+ model, there’s a tamer 1,020
horsepower Plaid version, which offers 320 miles
of range and a lightning-fast 0-60mph time of
fewer than three seconds. Tesla’s also introduced
a new dual-motor Long Range variant, which
offers a 412-mile range and serves as the entry-
level of the new Model S range. Long Range
Plus starts at $81,190 onwards, whilst the
Plaid+ has a base of $139,990. According to
one report, the Plaid and Plaid+ varieties have
been delayed; having originally been planned
to launch in late-2021, there’s a chance they’ll be
pushed back into 2022 to cope with demand.
Internally, there are some significant updates to
the Model S, with the removal of the old portrait
touchscreen and the introduction of a new 17-
