new privacy policy on social media, millions
have taken to the App Store and Google Play
Store to vote with their feet, uninstalling
WhatsApp from their phones and deleting their
Facebook accounts. Instead, they’re switching to
apps like Telegram, whose founder Pavel Durov
described the events of recent weeks as the
“the largest digital migration in human history”
after his app welcomed 25 million new users in
just 72 hours, which takes the company to an
impressive 500 million monthly active users; a
quarter of WhatsApp’s.
