Figure 10.28 shows the Configuration Publisher interface. It is like the Property Tab Builder in that
you use it to place interface controls on a PropertyManager that will pop up when the part is
placed into an assembly.

an assembly


Aside from users putting parts into assemblies, the interface you create using the Configuration
Publisher can also be used in 3D Content Central to specify a new component size. If you are a
supplier and make parts in a wide variety of sizes, instead of creating all the sizes and uploading to
3D Content Central, you can just create the rules in the Configuration Publisher interface and
allow the configurations to be created automatically according to the rules.

When the interface has been created, a PropertyManager entry shows up under the name of the
part in the ConfigurationManager, as shown in Figure 10.29.
