thefacultysince 1925.Hewas,furthermore,thefounderoftheIreneKaufmann
SettlementArt.Schoolin 1917 anditsdirectoruntil1928;founder(1926)anddirector
ofthe.-\rtDepartmentofthePittsburghYoungMen'sHebrewAssociationandYoung
Women'sHebrewAssociation.HewasalsotheDirectorofthe.'^rtDepartmentof
thePenn.sylvaniaCollegeforWomenfrom 1937 to1945.
