can't get any editor to allow a review of the Function of the Orgasm.
The growth is slow, but the people who are reading your work here,
though a small group, are those who at least have an open mind for
something new.
I am glad that you seem to think that drugs are as evil as artificial
manures. It must poison a body to dose it with mercury or tar products
and all the artificial nostrums of the big drug combines.

My dear Neill:
I did not hear from you in a long time and I wonder why. This
letter is to ask you about the nature of the "Progressive League." I am
wondering whether the events of the last 10 years have taught the
Huxleys, Russells, Wells, Wests, Burts, Flugels, etc. such a lesson as to
make them more ready to accept and to propagate a sex-affirmative and
sex-economic point of view in education and social action than ten years
ago.
Two weeks ago I was approached here in New York by a group of
people who are working at sociology departments of universities, in
birth-control clinics and organizations etc. who asked me to attend a
meeting in which they try gropingly to build up a sex-political organi
zation. Though I have not much time now, being very busy with stu
dents and research as well as writing, I would like to take up again the
Sex Pol work which I have done in Europe. Therefore I would ap
preciate if you would kindly give me information about the actual
activities and the factual sincerity of this English organization. The
main question is: Are they ready and willing to enter the fight for sex
economic affirmation of the natural love life of children and adoles
cents within the frame of the present fight for a new world; the substance
of which everybody knows but nobody likes to call by its proper name.
Do you think it feasible to organize an English branch of the Orgone
Institute Press, in order to make the distribution of our literature more
easy in the United Kingdom? Could you provide the necessary money
for it as we do here? After a certain length of time the publications pay
back by income and directly by sales. We have met here, so far, with
very great interest and appreciation.
