My dear Reich,
[ 1947 ]
September 26, 1947
My book is nearly finished. I have more than once quoted
you, giving the quotation from the Orgone Press. The name Orgone
will be Greek to many a reader, and I thought it would be a good idea
to make the final chapter a simple description of what the orgone is
and how it links up with the sickness of humanity. What do you think?
I wouldn't dare to write it myself, but if you could dictate to lIse I
could put it in my own literary style so that the book would be in
unison. I'll send you galley proofs of the book, for I will not say a thing
involving your name unless you approve of it.
The chapter could tell of the discovery of the Orgone, how it is seen
in biological life, how it can cure in the Akku, how the sickness of
man is against it ... I do so want England to know you, to get some of
the inspiration you have given me for years, and in great abundance in
the two weeks in Maine. It is time that your message were known here.
Damn you, man, time is short. You must get in with the O. before the
atomic energy kills us all.
School begins today, and 70 noisy brats have returned. I can't get
an English teacher and will have to teach maths and English all day
long. How can I do much to clear the onanie [masturbation] guilt of
70 kids then? I wish I had a Saxe* here.
Cold, and your wooly coat is a blessing. I guess Maine is cold too
now.
Lots of real love to both ... to the three. I wish to God (Orgonotic
one) I were nearer you.

I appreciate very much your offer to include a chapter on
orgone energy in your book. You will find many important data sum-
- Felicia Saxe. Worked with Reich for a time; devised exercises to loosen
children's tensions.
