Record of a Friendship

would be just as reasonable to say that they came because of Orgone
energy plant. The descriptions given appear to be nearer Orgone than
atomic energy anyway. Ruppelt's book forces on us the question you
have so often put: Is seeing and experiencing by a scientist enough when
his soul and body are rigid?
The New Education Fellowship has a monthly journal, the New Era.
I was editor in 1920. The present editor writes me asking if she had
any chance of an article by Reich. I said I didn't think she had, for you
are too busy a man. But since the journal is world-wide and most of its
readers are "progressives" which means frightened sitters on the fence,
I think it would be worthwhile to read what a live educationist had to
say. "The Source of the Human No"* would make em sit up and take
notice. Would you allow a reprint of the article?
A big question mark???????
If you can produce rain why is humanity playing with throwing
chemicals into clouds? If the Devil himself could make it rain even the
most devout Christians would use his methods (after first announcing
that the Devil stole them from the genuine God of course), but they
would use 'em. It is a melancholy thought that if human rigidity can
prevent seeing, there seems no hope for humanity in a million years.
Someone said to me that you got grass to grow in Arizona where no
grass was known within living memory. Then why did not every farmer
there shout all the way to the White House ... "We demand Reich's
rainmaker?" I can never think of a good enough reason for this
mystery.
lIse wrote some months ago saying she was bringing Peter to England
this summer. That would be fine to see him again. Often people say to
me: "Can't you persuade Reich to come over and give a lecture tour?"
I sigh sadly and answer No.
Everything good to you, friend.
