December 14, 1938

I hear that you have got your visa for America and are going
this Spring. This alarms me, for it means no more Stunden fur mich
[hours for me]. Tell me about it, if it is true and if so when you will be
going. For your sake I hope it is true, for America is wide and has a
future.
I haven't had the chance to do anything more about the slides.
Very busy with plays for the end of the term dramatic evening.

It is true that I got the visa for the States. But I am not leaving
before July or August. So you will have the opportunity to continue.
How long would you like to stay and when? I have to know in time to
arrange the hours.


Don't worry about the slides. Send them back please. I have already

got a cancer diagnosis in one of them. They will give more when the
time passes on.

My dear Neill,
Please don't take on the burden of translating the Bion­
Communication* into English. It is already done. I shall send you a
copy as soon as possible. Meanwhile there happened something im­
portant. Without knowing it I had microscoped for about four weeks a
new bion culture which apparently is radioactive, that means, it behaves
like radium. It makes the skin red through glass and penetrates the
