General Editor

Brian L. Cutler,Ph.D., is Professor and Chair of the
Department of Psychology at the University of North
Carolina at Charlotte. He conducts research on eye-
witness identification and the effectiveness of safe-
guards designed to protect defendants from erroneous
conviction resulting from mistaken identification. He
is the author of Mistaken Identification: Eyewitnesses,
Psychology, and the Law(with Steven Penrod, 1995)
and over 60 book chapters and articles on eyewitness
memory and legal safeguards. He serves as Editor-in-
Chief of Law and Human Behavior, the official jour-
nal of the American Psychology-Law Society. He also
serves as an expert witness and testifies on the psy-
chology of eyewitness memory. He received his doc-
toral degree in social psychology from the University
of Wisconsin–Madison in 1987.

Associate Editor

Patricia A. Zapf, Ph.D., is currently Associate
Professor in the Department of Psychology at John
Jay College of Criminal Justice, the City University of

New York. She is Associate Editor of Law and Human
Behaviorand was appointed Fellow of the American
Psychological Association in 2006 for outstanding
contributions to the field of law and psychology. She
has published over 60 articles and chapters, mainly on
the assessment of criminal competencies. In addition
to her research, she serves as a consultant to various
criminal justice and policy organizations and main-
tains a private practice in forensic assessment. She
received her doctoral degree in clinical forensic psy-
chology from Simon Fraser University in Canada in
1999.

Managing Editor

Sarah Greathouse,M.S., is currently working on her
Ph.D. in psychology at the City University of New
York. To date, her research has focused on issues rel-
evant to jury decision making and eyewitness identifi-
cation. She recently served as the editorial assistant
for Law and Human Behavior, the official journal of
the American Psychology-Law Society. She received
her master’s degree in legal psychology from Florida
International University.
