With 2021 coming to a close, all eyes are on
where Apple is headed next. This year has been
a bumper one for the Cupertino company,
breaking records and delivering cutting-edge
hardware and software to users. The path ahead,
however, could be even more exciting.

A NEW ERA FOR APPLE

The rumor mill is in overdrive, with journalists,
analysts, and insiders all suggesting that 2022
could be the biggest year yet for Apple. It’s
thought that Apple will update virtually every
product in its catalog, including launching ive
new iPhone models, three new Apple Watches
as well as a redesigned MacBook Air with M
chip, an iMac Pro, and the launch of Apple’s
irst new product category in years: an AR/
VR headset, tentatively called Apple Glass. Of
course, all of these rumors are nothing more
than speculation, but should they all come to
fruition, with a couple of surprises on top, it
could prove to be the biggest year yet for Apple.

Despite the challenges of the coronavirus
pandemic, 2020 and 2021 proved fruitful for Tim
Cook and Co, with major success stories across
iPhone, Mac, and Apple Watch. The biggest
challenge ahead for Apple is consistency, and
being able to innovate year-in, year-out in a
way that encourages the average consumer to
part with their cash and upgrade their devices
every year. Look at the diference between the
iPhone 11 and the iPhone 12: it’s those sorts
of innovations and product overhauls that will
ensure Apple stays ahead of the competition.
