WATCH OUT


This year was expected to be a big year for the
Apple Watch, with the Series 7 expected to
feature an all-new design that deviated from
the original Apple Watch. What we got was very
diferent from the mockups and rumors, with
Apple retaining the same chassis and instead
just making the screen larger. There’s no
doubting that it’s the best Apple Watch the irm
has ever made, but next year’s model should
introduce the long-speculated-upon new
“lat” design as well as a non-invasive diabetes
sensor that reads your blood glucose levels.
Insiders have also suggested it will come with
better body temperature and sleep tracking
technology, as well as software such as car
crash detection, though this may be a feature
across all Apple mobile devices like iPhones.
It’s also expected that Apple will introduce
an Apple Watch SE 2 and the rumors suggest
a new more robust model would be ofered
for those who partake in extreme sports to
compete against G-Shocks, tentatively named
the Explorer Edition.


ALL-NEW IPHONES


We’ve already touched upon the plans for an
all-new iPhone SE, but it’s no doubt the iPhone
14 range that will really steal the show. It would
be hard for Apple to maintain the hype and
momentum it generated with iPhone 12 and
iPhone 13, which enjoyed record sales, which
is why many predict Apple will overhaul the
design of the phone in 2022. We all know by
now that the irm has been working on a way
to reduce the size of the notch - or eliminate
it entirely - as well as reintroduce Touch ID on
