High.Season.(Jun–Aug).

» The weather can be extremely hot and humid; mountains

offer relief.

» Storms (including hurricanes) occur at this time.

» Many festivals and outdoor concerts.

Shoulder.Season.(Mar–May.&.Sep–Nov).

» This is high season for DC due to the Cherry Blossom festival.

» Some hotels open in beach towns if the weather is warm.

» Most temperate time of year. But March, October and

November are wet.

» Cold weather, rainy conditions (snow in the mountains so
