Each consecutive presentation at the conference built on the
next until I could hear the message loud and clear:
Prayerlessness was the cause of my apathy and complacency
toward God.
Not only was my relationship with God suffering because of
it, but every area of my life was being negatively impacted. (I
was overweight, habitually tardy for meetings, a procrastinator,
jealous of others who were skinnier and richer than me—which
included most people—and I was easily angered, especially
toward my toddler.)
By exposing three lies I had believed, these leaders
dramatically changed the way I felt about spending time alone
with God.
