Let God Talk to You: When You Hear Him, You Will Never Be the Same

replacing me—and laying His hands on them, offering
forgiveness, healing their hearts with words He alone knew
would be meaningful to them.

Let Jesus Talk to You

If you want to immediately experience Jesus talking to you,
simply begin by reading from the first four books in the New
Testament: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Let Jesus talk to
you through His own words. Underline or highlight any
phrases or words that have significant meaning to you—
perhaps they comfort or encourage you. Do they motivate or
correct you? Place yourself in each story—is Jesus teaching a
few people or many? Are you an attendee or an administrator?
Are you a leader or follower? Are you attentive or distracted?
Are you on the support team— praying, counseling, cooking,
or preparing the way for Him?

How you hear Jesus talk to you while you are reading His
words written in the Bible will resonate in similar and familiar
ways when you’re not reading the Bible. As you become more
and more familiar with the New Testament gospels or the
teaching found in the Lord’s Prayer and the Sermon on the
Mount, or the principles taught in each of the parables, the
more often Jesus’ words will become your thoughts, your
mandates, and your strategies.
Let God powerfully and personally talk to you through the
life and words of His Son, Jesus Christ, recorded in the four
gospels and heard beyond those pages.
