Academy, London, 1953, p.89. The actual entry in the Encyclopaedia is
listed as “Djihad”, so the spelling of this word in English has obviously
changed in recent years. That the spelling has changed means that when
one is looking back into even the recent past, it can be difficult to find
what our own experts were warning us of about Islam in our lifetime. The
immediate definition of jihad in this encyclopaedia is “holy war”, not the
deceitful concept of “inner struggle” which has been used by our
politicians and journalists to confuse the public in recent decades. ↵
