- Following the attack on the USA in September 2001, Britain’s internal
security service (MI5) kept a public list of those convicted of
“international terrorism”. This was code for “Islamic terrorism” since the
attacks all occurred in Britain and the vast majority of those convicted
were citizens of Britain and the long list of hundreds of case summaries
made it clear that in every single case the people convicted had Muslim
names (when the population of the UK was less than 5% Muslim). MI5
started to move the page to different parts of their website every few
months, then they started to update it with decreasing frequency. Finally
they removed the list of summaries. At the time of writing, without
considerable effort no-one can discover how many people have been
convicted of “international terrorism”. The news media and politicians
appear to have no interest and no concern that the electorate are being kept
in the dark about the scale of this problem. ↵
