- There are scores of other significant events listed in the last chapter of the
book which are not acts of violence. Nevertheless, given the thousands of
terrorist incidents in the name of Islam since 1993, it is significant that
this (intentionally massive) terrorist attack by a learned Muslim should be
a feature of Islam, 1400 years after the violence of Mohammed and his
