There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.’ ’’[20]
Another Hadith also strikes a chilling note: ‘‘When
judgment day arrives, Allah will give every Muslim, a Jew
or Christian to kill so that the Muslim will not enter into hell
fire.’’[21]


Muslims in general hold to no single established sequence
of eschatological events, but some traditions offer glimpses
of a fully realized eschatological theology that borrows
heavily from Christianity. According to one Hadith,
Muhammad painted an end times scenario that centers on
the return of Jesus: ‘‘He will descend [to the earth]. When
you see him, recognize him — a man of medium height,
reddish fair, wearing two light yellow garments, looking as
if drops were falling down from his head though it will not
be wet. He will fight the people for the cause of Islam. He
will break the cross, kill swine, and abolish jizya [the special
tax on non-Muslims in Muslim societies]. Allah will perish
all religions except Islam. He will destroy the Antichrist and
will live on the earth for forty years and then he will die.
The Muslims will pray over him.’’[22]



  1. Is it true that a Muslim man may have more than
    one wife?


Yes, a Muslim man can have up to four wives. In the
Koran, Sura 4:3 states, ‘‘If you fear that you cannot treat
orphans (orphan girls) with fairness, then you may marry
other women who seem good to you: two, three, or four of
them.’’ This verse continues by offering a small hope for a
woman who hopes to have an exclusive relationship with
her husband: ‘‘But if you fear that you cannot maintain
