Resurrection. But We cast him forth on
the naked shore in a state of
sickness’’(Sura 37:142– 145).
Jonah was not cast on a naked shore:
‘‘So wait with patience for the
Command of thy Lord, and be not like
the Companion of the Fish, when he
cried out in agony. Had not Grace from
his Lord reached him, he would indeed
have been cast off on the naked shore,
in disgrace’’(Sura 68:48–49).
Allah will not forgive those who
associate partners with Him:
‘‘Allah forgiveth not that partners
should be set up with Him; but He
forgiveth anything else, to whom He
pleaseth; to set up partners with Allah is
