Director and Chief Economist opportunities at
ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO)
DIRECTOR
The responsibility of the AMRO Director is to head this regional macroeconomic
surveillance organization to ensure efficient and timely surveillance of ASEAN+
economies.
CHIEF ECONOMIST
The Chief Economist will lead and supervise the planning and implementation of
AMRO’s surveillance and research activities, develop analytical methodology and
toolkits, and manage AMRO’s support function for the effective implementation of
the Chiang Mai Initiative Multilateralisation (CMIM).
Commencement date: May 2022, Tenure: 3 years, Location: Singapore

the macroeconomic and financial stability of the ASEAN+3 region. Its membership
comprises the 10 members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)
and China; Hong Kong, China; Japan; and Korea. AMRO’s mandate is to conduct
macroeconomic surveillance, support the implementation of the regional financial
arrangement, the CMIM, and provide technical assistance to its members.
