he latest version of this premium image-
editing software is compatible with macOS
and Windows operating systems, and is
optimised for macOS Monterey as well as the
Apple M1, M1 Pro and M1 Pro Max processors.
Capture One is an alternative to Lightroom, and
is highly regarded in the photography world as a
leading resource for the non-destructive editing of
raw image files. Several editions of the software are
available. Capture One Pro caters for all camera
models, and is priced accordingly, but it can be
more cost-effective to purchase a single-brand
subscription or licence if you’re exclusively loyal
to Fujifilm, Nikon or Sony. Capture One Expressis free software and offers limited features
specifically for handling Fujifilm or Sony files.
New features of Capture One 22 include
panorama stitching and HDR merging, as well as
batch auto-rotate tools, while support for newer
cameras including the Sony A7 IV and the Nikon Z 9
comes via updated performance architecture.
Wireless tethering for selected Canon cameras is
another new feature, and cloud- and tablet-oriented
products are scheduled to start joining the Capture
One ecosystem from early in 2022.
