Game on the go

Gaming peripheral manufacturers and smartphones have previously had a rocky
relationship but the ASUS ROG Phone 5 effortlessly deletes any cause for concern.
There are three models of ROG Phone 5 but even the entry level version comes with
16GB of RAM, a Snapdragon processor and a 144Hz AMOLED display. Plus, the
6000mAh battery on this Android phone alone should turn gamers’ and non-gamers’
heads alike. The battery is even split into two to prevent overheating when you assume
the gaming position. What ASUS calls its AirTrigger system means better shoulder
button control and there’s an optional clip on-fan system to improve cooling.

RAZER KISHI FOR XBOX

As good as mobile gaming can be, smartphones especially can be let down by smudgy
touchscreen controls. The Razer Kishi not only solves that but this specific Xbox
model for both iPhone and Android has been designed for cloud gaming via Xbox
Game Pass Ultimate. Clickable analogue sticks and resistance triggers mean that
we can happily play Halo Infinite or Forza Horizon 5 on the go without sacrificing any
performance. And an adjustable back means that the Kishi works with the last three
generations of iPhone, including the Pro and Pro Max models. Obviously a stable
internet connection is a must but, for once, our capacity for button presses on mobile
won’t be the thing that lets us down.
