WORKS EVEN BETTER)
I’ve got many secret weapons when it comes to weight loss, but one of my
favourites is pulses (a term used by farmers long ago that’s now coming
back into fashion). They are plain and simple beans like cannellini and
kidney, as well as peas, chickpeas, and lentils. (Green beans aren’t
technically a pulse.) A 75 grams of pulses (except for peas) has as much
protein as three eggs, about a third of a day’s worth of fibre, plus zinc, iron,
and B vitamins. If you’ve been neglecting these superfoods, then add more

A few ways to get your pulse up: Puree them and spread on sandwiches,
blend into dips, toss into salads for texture, or add to soups for extra
heartiness.
