SHOULD YOU “B” WORRIED?


More    than    30  percent of  people  over    the age of  fifty   have    a   B12 deficiency.
As we age, we don’t absorb B12 as well, so we get less of it through our
food sources. The trouble with that? B12 helps your nerve cells
communicate with one another. When you have low levels, it’s difficult for
your cells to send and receive messages, making you more prone to worry
and anxiety. Since B12 is only found in animal-based products, including
fish and shellfish, some meat, eggs, and dairy (all on the 21-Day Plan), it’s
especially important for vegetarians and vegans to think about alternative
sources. Those include fortified products like soy and cereal.
