Food FIXES for Skin and Hair

Looking good on the outside starts with what happens on the

inside.

I like to joke that Lisa and I had an arranged marriage because our fathers were
friends for years before we ever met.
I got to know Lisa’s dad, Gerry, when he came to Turkey as a visiting
professor and I offered to show him around. But I had never met any of his
children. Then one night when I was a med student, my parents were meeting
Lisa’s parents for dinner in Philadelphia, and I came along. Lisa joined the party,
too.
The first time I saw her, she looked like a dove. Glowing, pure, radiant.
She thought I was the maître d’.
Our story is just a variation on the one many couples tell, about how two
people (or at least one) tingled when they saw each other for the first time.
For me, the love-at-first-sight cliché was true: Lisa was as stunning as could
be, and our initial physical attraction ignited a lifelong spiritual and soul-filling
bond. That spark led to a journey that has produced the next two generations of
our families. Which is a somewhat long way to say, how you look matters. Not
in the superficial way, but in a deeper, more evolutionary way. Attractiveness is
really a proxy for good health, and we assess, deep inside our subconscious
brains, someone’s longevity and compatibility through how they look.
I also have to say this: Lisa’s entire family looked good. They had clear,
luminous skin. They had full hair. They practically oozed good health. Heck,
even their cats, dogs, and horses were poster pets for well-being.
