IS YOUR HAIR HUNGRY FOR THESE?


Your hair can look and be healthier when you use certain foodie ingredients
as part of your cleansing process (once a week or so is fine for these).


Argan oil: An oil that comes from the nut of a tree in Morocco, it contains
antioxidants and vitamin E. Argan oil helps prevent hair from breaking and
makes it feel smooth and soft. Rub a 10-pence-piece-sized drop into wet
hair. Comb it in to distribute evenly, then style your hair as you normally
would.


Brown sugar: A natural exfoliant. It can remove dead cells on your scalp.
Combine it with avocado oil (filled with vitamins and antioxidants). Mix
one part avocado oil and two parts brown sugar. Wet your hair and rub the
mixture into your scalp for a few minutes. Rinse, then shampoo and
condition as you normally would.


Espresso: You can put a shot in your conditioner to help give your brown
hair a colour refresh, making it look deep and rich. Those with blond hair
can use chamomile tea, and redheads can use one part carrot juice and one
part beet juice. Mix the ingredients into the conditioner and work the
mixture through wet hair. Let it sit for fifteen minutes, then rinse
thoroughly. Reapply conditioner (without the added ingredients) and rinse
again.
