ABOUT DR. MEHMET OZ


Mehmet Oz, M.D., a cardiothoracic surgeon, has won eight Daytime Emmy
Awards for The Dr. Oz Show. A professor of surgery at Columbia University, he
directs the Complementary Medicine Program at NewYork–Presbyterian
Hospital and performs more than fifty heart operations a year. In addition to
Food Can Fix It, Dr. Oz has written seven New York Times bestselling books,
including YOU: The Owner’s Manual, YOU: The Smart Patient, YOU: On a
Diet, YOU: Staying Young, and the award-winning Healing from the Heart.
He hosts the internationally syndicated Daily Dose in numerous radio
markets, syndicated through iHeartRadio, and his newspaper column is
syndicated by Hearst in 175 markets around the world. He is the cofounder of
Share-care.com and its app AskMD, which won the Best Medical App award in

    thirty-two years, Lisa; they have four children and two grandchildren.
