All kinds of rolling pins are
on the market, made of
plastic, metal, marble, and
even silicone. But I
recommend heavy wood.
The best is beech or
boxwood, hard woods that
do not easily warp. They
are more expensive than
regular rolling pins, but if
you take care of them by
cleaning them with a
plastic scraper and then a
