Lahid al-Zurqi; Ziyad b. al-Mazin h. Qays al-Khazraji; Zayd b. Aslam b.
Thalaba b. 'Adi b. 'Ajlm b. 1)ubay'a; Zayd b. Hzritha b. Shurhbil, freed-man
of the Messenger of God (SAAS); Zayd b. d-Khatpb b. Nufayl, brother of
Wmar b. al-Khattab, God bless them both; Zayd b. Sahl b. al-Aswad b. Harm

is mentioned by d-Bukhari; Sumqa b. 'Amr al-Najjari; Surnqa b. Ka'b, also

al-Rabic d-Kbazraji who was martyred at the Battle of Uhud; Sa'd b. Zayd b.
Malik al-Awsi: d-Waqidi gave his name as Sa'd h. Zayd h. al-Fakih d-Khazraji;
Sa'd b. Suhayl b. 'Abd al-Ashhal al-Najjzri; Sa'd b. Whayd al-Ansari; Sa'd b.
'Uthmm b. Khalda al-Khazraji Aha Wbada. Ibn CA'idh gave his name as Abii
Wbayda.
Sa'd b. Musdh al-Awsi, and it was he who was entrusted with the Aws banner.
Sa'd b. 'Ubada b. Dulaym d-Khazraji: several authorities, including Wrwa,
d-Bukhwi, Ihn Aba Hatim and al-Tibrmi include him among those who were
present at Badr. In the phih of Muslim, there is material substantiating that
when the Prophet (SAAS) was preparing to meet the Quraysh force, Sacd h.
Wbada said, "0 Messenger of God, perhaps you would like us to make.. ." But
the truth is that it was Sa'd b. Mu'adh who said this.
It is well known that As'ad b. Wbada was sent back from the road; it is said
