products and courses before becoming an affiliate to
promote and recommend them.
By then I was hosting my own weekly teleseminars, and I
shared with all of my listeners how I was able to take what
I learned in Alex's course and apply it to my own business.
During the two week period that I promoted Teleseminar
Secrets, my list knew exactly what the benefits of this
intensive training were, how they could use it to build their
own businesses, and what to expect once they were in the
course. I tied for twelfth place in this affiliate contest, and
my list at that time had only 650 names! The other
affiliates had lists ranging from about ten thousand to
more than a hundred thousand names, so this was quite an
accomplishment.
This soon got Alex's attention, and I went from student to
affiliate to partner in just one year. When he called me to
discuss this he challenged me to double my list in the
following ten days. I did this, and he sent out a mailing to
his list – more than 100,000 names – to promote a
webinar training I was doing. I earned several thousand
dollars and added about a thousand names to my list
during that time, and my business really took off.
Alex and I continue to be friends, and he was the person
who had me start my blog at
http://HugeProfitsTinyList.com in 2009. The information
I posted there was the impetus for my first book, Huge
