The complexion of Ganesh is red. His head is like that of an
elephant. He has a tooth and a trunk. Big is his belly. He wears an
upobeet or a sacred thread on his neck. He has four hands. His
carriage is a mouse.
GaneshGanesh is the god of siddhi or success. Success is attained by
worshipping Ganesh. So he is called 'Siddhidata' or the giver of
success. Ganesh Puja has to be performed at the beginning of
worshipping all gods.
