has written four books, including, most
recently, “The Song Machine.”

Katha Pollitt (Poem, p. 35) is a poet, an
essayist, and a columnist at The Nation.
Her most recent poetry collection is

Sergiy Maidukov (Postcard from Kyiv,
p. 69) published the art book “Kyiv”
last year.

James Wood (A Critic at Large, p. 56),
