Sergio D’Amaro was born in Rodi Garganico in 1951 and
teaches in secondary school. He has done editorial work for
the publishers Bastogi and Lacaita. He has published a
collection of essays on the Mezzogiorno, Le caselle mancanti
(Lacata, 1986) and a book of poetry, Il ponte di Heidelberg
(Tracce, 1990, which won the Lerici, Penne and Adelfia
Prizes). For the publisher Mancuso in Rome he edited the
correspondence between carlo levi and Linuccia Saba,
Carissimo Puck. Lettere d’amore e di vita (1945-1969) and
the biographical essay Carlo Levi e il suo mondo (1995). He
contributes essays and reviews to Il Ponte, Oggi e domani,
Diverse lingue, Altreitalie, La Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno,
Inoltre.
Vittoriano Esposito was born in Celano (L’Aquila) in
