Michael Palma has published The Egg Shape (poems) and
translations of Guido Gozzano (The Man I Pretend to Be)
and Diego Valeri (My Name on the Wind; Italo Calvino
Award). With Dana Gioia, he co-edited New Italian Poets,
selected by American Literary Translators Association as
one of the ten Notable Translations of the Year. He assisted
Ernst A. Menze in the translation of Selected Early Works of
Johann Gottfried Herder. His poems and translations have
appeared in Poetry, Paris Review, Grand Street, and other
journals, as well as in several antholo-gies, including the
recently published Unsettling America. He is a professor of
English at Iona College.
Joseph Perricone has translated poems by Pagliarani,
Paolini, Celati, Porta and Rosselli. He is a professor of Italian
and Literary Studies at Fordham University.
