This verse doesn't suggest that the Earth is round. It actually suggests that the Earth
has a circle object. "the circle of the earth" is pretty much self-explanatory: It is the
circle that belongs to or is owned by the Earth.
The Quran does not require for the addition of some translator for its scientific
miracles, and goes a few steps further:
Allah says :
He created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): He makes the Night
overlap the Day, and the Day overlap the Night: He has subjected the sun and the
moon (to His law): Each one follows a course for a time appointed. Is not He the
Exalted in Power - He Who forgives again and again?
[The Troops Verse 5]
In this verse is a clear indication of the spherical nature of the earth as the night
overlaps and turns in to the day.
Allah also says :
- And after that He spread the earth;
[Those Who Drag Forth Verse 30]
By using the Arabic word from ‘Dahhiyah’ the ostrich’s egg it is a linguistic as well as
a scientific miracle.
This is exactly what modern day science has discovered that the earth is not actually
spherical is oval like the shape of an egg completely.
As previously alluded to we shall make mention of some of the scientific miracle of
the Quran.
Allah says:
With power did We construct the heaven. Verily, We are Able to extend the vastness
of space thereof.
[The Winnowing Winds Verse 47]
These verses were perhaps taken on face value years ago by those who first heard it,
they thought perhaps that the one who created the vast heavens is able to increase it
in vastness.
However in the 21 st Century one is able to determine the star, and its temperature,
its speed, its orbit and its solar system all from the speed of its light.
